Re “Hurling Invective in Troubled Waters,” Commentary, May 24:
The last thing we need in the Los Angeles black community is division among our black elected officials who represent us. We have a mountain of problems that are going to take all of us pulling together just to solve a tiny part of them. I think Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Los Angeles) has worked well for and with the people of California. Waters speaks for me and I believe the majority in her congressional district.
I hope all our black elected officials are working hard for the people they represent.
