SEAL BEACH — Three robbers, two of them wielding Uzi submachine guns, burst into a house Sunday night and robbed a family of $20,000 worth of silver and gold bars, cash and jewelry, police said.
The robbers, two men and a woman, then fled in the victim’s car, a blue 1984 Mercury, police said.
Details of the 9 p.m. robbery were sketchy Sunday night, but police said no one was hurt at the residence, near Dolphin and Ocean avenues.
Police said the woman and her partners barged into the house and demanded money. The woman and one of the men were toting Uzis while the second man, who was unarmed, cleaned a safe of valuables, police said.
It was not clear how many people were at the home or if the victims knew the robbers, Seal Beach Police dispatcher John Liebl said. But the robbers apparently “knew there was a safe full of stuff,” Liebl said.
