OUTLOOK
Friedrich said the Sentinels are looking to break through after two tough seasons. Matthews is a Division I recruit, drawing interest from USC, Washington, Fresno State and Oregon State. Nichols was outstanding in summer passing league, with just one interception in 155 attempts.
