Normandy Hotel

As a result of Christopher Reynolds’ July 18 article, “Jewel of the Normandy Coast,” my husband and I decided to go there on our vacation. I cannot compliment you enough on that article. It was accurate--even down to the distances from the different towns. Honfleur is beautiful; everyone should visit.

One hotel we were really impressed with was “La Chaumiere,” from the United States telephone 011-31-81-63-20, one mile west of Honfleur in a quiet, woodsy setting. The food was fabulous and readers should note that they should ask for demi-pension in France, since you get breakfast and dinner per person included in the room price, which worked out to approximately $225 a night double occupancy, with tax and service included.
