Beschen, Archbold and Andino Advance

Shane Beschen, Dino Andino and Matt Archbold of San Clemente each won third-round heats Saturday to advance to the quarterfinals of the Body Glove Surfbout VI in four- to five-foot surf at Lower Trestles near Camp Pendleton.

Also advancing was Todd Miller of Newport Beach who finished second to Andino in his heat. The surf is expected to improve slightly for today’s action, which starts at 7 a.m.
