Name: Tonya Hinch
Position: Director of marketing for hair care products
Company: Neutrogena Corp., Los Angeles
“Before setting out on a business trip, I ask my secretary to telephone the hotel where I’ll be staying to confirm the room reservation, to ask for clear directions from the airport to the hotel and to request that an ironing board and iron be placed in my room,” said Hinch. Her secretary will also ask for details about any hotel amenities. “If the room is equipped with a hair dryer, there’s no need to pack one. The more accessories the hotel can provide, the lighter I can travel.”
Hinch also recommends that travelers take the precaution of photocopying airline tickets whenever they travel. The copies are a great convenience if the tickets are lost or stolen.
