Bank of Boston Acquires BankWorcester Corp.: BankWorcester, the holding company for Worcester County Institution for Savings, is a financial services company with assets of $1.4 billion and deposits of $1.2 billion. The Bank of Boston has assets of $37.5 billion. Bank of Boston said it has agreed to acquire BankWorcester for $247 million, or $34 a share in cash. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 1994.
