Hansen Wins Dwarf Main at Ventura

VENTURA — Simi Valley driver Rob Hansen won the 20-lap Dwarf car main event to cap a three-victory night before 3,500 Saturday at Ventura Raceway.
Hansen, the Dwarf points leader, notched his 19th feature victory of the year. He also won the Dwarf trophy dash and a heat race.
Justin Power (El Segundo) and Bruce Dorn (Ventura) were Dwarf heat-race winners.
The Sprint Car Racing Assn. held its debut at Ventura with Rip Williams of Yorba Linda winning the 30-lap main event. Williams and Rodney Argo (El Segundo) won SCRA semi-main events.
Jim Blenkarn (Mission Viejo), Steve Ostling (Bellflower), Bobby Michnowicz (Dominguez Hills) and Ron Shuman (Tempe, Ariz.) won SCRA heat races.
