SEASON AT A GLANCE: Lairson has been perhaps the Falcons’ most consistent player, according to Coach Garry Phelps. Lairson, who averages 15.6 points and 5.7 rebounds a game, also was an excellent receiver on the football team.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: Lairson scored 23 points and made eight of 11 shots from the field in Palmdale’s 65-49 second-round playoff victory against Hart, which came into the game with a 21-1 record and a No. 1 ranking in the Times’ regional poll. Lairson added six rebounds, three assists and three steals. The victory avenged one of Palmdale’s three losses, a 55-52 defeat to Hart in December. Last week, Lairson also had 28 points and nine rebounds in Palmdale’s 108-69 victory against Temecula Valley in the first round.
