Out of the fire and onto the gridiron.
That’s where Orange County and Los Angeles firefighters will go Saturday when they meet in a charity football game to raise money for Laguna Beach fire victims.
The contest between the “L.A. Heat” and the “Orange County Fire” will be at 6 p.m. on the Saddleback College football field, 28000 Marguerite Parkway in Mission Viejo.
Joe Prado, an Orange County Fire Department reservist who plays quarterback, asked spectators to bring a $5 to $10 donation, or the equivalent in canned food or clothing.
Proceeds from the game will be turned over to the Red Cross, Prado said.
