T-Bill Rates Up: Interest rates on 52-week Treasury bills rose to their highest level in nearly two years. The average discount rate was 4.03%, up from 3.59% at the last auction a month ago. It was the highest rate since 52-week bills averaged 4.07% on May 28, 1992. The bills will carry an equivalent coupon interest rate of 4.22%, with each $10,000 in face value selling for $9,592.50. Sales totaled $16.52 billion out of bids of $43.98 billion.
