Pasadena Firm Awarded Contract by Chevron: Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has been awarded the $80-million contract to upgrade an oil refinery in Northern California so Chevron Corp. can comply with new pollution laws. The first new processing units at the facility in Richmond will be operational by this summer, Jacobs said. The upgrade is needed to meet new reformulated gasoline standards mandated by the federal Clean Air Act and the California Air Resources Board.
