ORANGE COUNTY ALL-STAR FOOTBALL GAME : Draft Among Those Named to Roster for North’s Squad
- Share via
Chris Draft of Valencia High, The Times Orange County back of the year, is among 36 players on the North team roster for the 35th Orange County North-South All-Star Football Game.
Draft, who signed a letter of intent to play football at Stanford, gained 1,338 yards rushing and scored 24 touchdowns to lead Valencia to the Orange League title and the semifinals of the Southern Section Division VI playoffs.
He finished with 3,038 yards in his three-year varsity career, but started at running back only two seasons. On defense, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker was third on the team in tackles and had nine sacks.
Los Alamitos (14-0), which won its second consecutive Division II championship last fall, leads all North participants with four players on the roster: quarterback Mike Good, offensive lineman Brad Hakala, defensive lineman Steve Trammell and linebacker Marc Albert.
Fred DiPalma will coach the North on July 8 at Orange Coast College. DiPalma led Savanna to the Division VI title.
