In another South Coast League game:

Capistrano Valley 5, San Clemente 3--Sara Petrella survived four errors behind her to get the complete-game victory, allowing seven hits for Capistrano Valley (11-5, 2-1). San Clemente is 5-10-1, 1-2.

In the Academy League:

St. Margaret’s 7, Liberty Christian 6--Monica Girard had two hits, two runs scored and one RBI for the Tartars (2-0 in league).

Lynley Vaccaro had three hits, two runs scored and an RBI for Liberty Christian.

In the Sea View League:

Irvine 5, Corona del Mar 0--Amy Young pitched a one-hitter with six strikeouts for Irvine (10-9, 4-3). Young also added two hits. Teammate Kim Fischer had three hits, with a double and one RBI. Corona del Mar is 3-11, 0-7.

University 4, Newport Harbor 0 (13)--The Trojans scored four runs in the top of the 13th inning. Kerry Rowberg had two hits for University (8-8, 5-2).
