SHERMAN OAKS — A masked gunman robbed a Wells Fargo Bank at 13300 Riverside Drive over the weekend and fled through an alley with an undisclosed amount of money, police said Sunday.
The man entered the bank about 1:30 p.m. Saturday, wearing a black mask and a white sweat shirt with a black hood, said Officer Cathryn Delvecchio of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Van Nuys station.
One of the bank’s tellers handed the robber a dye pack hidden among the money, she said. A dye pack is a security device intended to explode and stain the bills.
