Huge Striper Takes Bait at Silverwood

Of the thousands of fish to come out of Southland reservoirs this past week, one fish stands out: a 48-pound 13-ounce striped bass pulled from Silverwood Lake.
Kevin Harleman of Norco fooled the fish with an anchovy while fishing aboard his boat at about 5 p.m. last Friday. The striper, a lake record, measured 47 1/4 inches and had a 32 1/2-inch girth.
