Hoover Ends Losing Streak, 16-0

GLENDALE — Hoover High broke an 18-game losing streak with a 16-0 intersectional victory over Grant at Glendale High on Friday night.
Hoover’s defense, led by end Ronnie Terverdian who had two sacks, held Grant to 96 yards.
Running back Hung Huynh led Hoover with 97 yards in 21 carries. His 42-yard run in the third quarter completed the scoring.
Grant running back Di-Onte Smith was held to 36 yards in 13 carries. Smith had run for 352 yards in a 20-15 victory over Marshall last week.
Grant receiver Alberto Torres had three receptions for 46 yards.
