Judge Orders Procter & Gamble to Settle Suit: Halting a trial, a judge in Pittsburgh told the consumer products company to try to settle its suit against two former researchers who left to work for competitor Johnson & Johnson. The suit alleges that the researchers violated an agreement not to engage in similar work with a competitor for three years. The judge said he was disappointed that the two sides had not taken him seriously when he urged a settlement at pretrial meetings, and he threatened to revoke the Ohio courtroom privileges of three New Jersey lawyers representing Johnson & Johnson if a deal is not reached by this morning.
