Big Catfish Could Net $100 Prize

They aren’t pretty, they are neither sleek nor swift and they spend most of their time wallowing in the mud.
But the catfish that will be put into Irvine and Corona lakes this week will still be the most popular fish around.
Both lakes will receive their normal weekly catfish plants, but seven of the fish at Irvine and three at Corona will weigh more than 50 pounds apiece.
The fish will be tagged and if caught, recorded and released, the angler will receive a “conservation” award of $100.
