Norman Lear’s Firm Expected to Buy Movie Chain: Act III, which owns 555 screens in the Pacific Northwest and Texas, is said to be buying Encino-based Cinamerica Theaters, owner of the 341-screen Mann Theaters. The chain is jointly owned by Viacom Inc. and Time Warner. Daily Variety put the price at $180 million to $200 million.
