In other Northwest Valley Conference games:
Granada Hills 39, Chatsworth 8--Quarterback Brian MacLean completed 18 of 28 passes for 253 yards, including scoring tosses of eight, nine, 22 and 24 yards to lead Granada Hills at home.
Jason Ascencio made seven catches for 106 yards and two touchdowns. Eric Carpenter made nine catches for 125 yards and a touchdown.
Granada Hills (4-2, 3-0) scored 25 points in the second quarter, when even the defense got into the act. The Highlanders’ final touchdown of the half was scored by defensive lineman Jirair Melikyan, who recovered a fumble and returned it 35 yards.
Chatsworth (2-4, 0-3) was shutout until Antwon Nelson scored on a 54-yard run late in the fourth quarter. Nelson rushed for 148 yards in 18 carries.
