GARDEN GROVE : Police Department Plans Halloween Fair

The Police Department is sponsoring a Halloween fair where children can go trick or treating and their parents can obtain information on public safety.
The Halloween Family Education Fair is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Public Safety Building on Acacia Parkway. It will feature a costume parade, a costume contest and booths providing candies and other treats and information on parenting, employment, disaster preparedness and other topics.
“It’s an alternative for parents and children who want a safe Halloween,” Police Capt. Dave Abrecht said.
Free fingerprinting will be available for children.
