SEASON AT A GLANCE: Thomas has been a starter at middle blocker since the second match of her sophomore season for the defending Marmonte League champions. The Chargers are one of four teams in contention for this year’s title.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: The Chargers (10-2, 9-1 in league play) moved into sole possession of first place as Thomas had seven kills and 10 blocks in a sweep over Newbury Park last week. Two days later, she had 14 kills and 13 blocks in a five-game victory over Royal. Agoura then won the Nordhoff tournament Saturday and the 5-foot-11 Thomas was named to the all-tournament team. “She’s really come into her own this year,” Agoura Coach Chris Everson said.
