Bart Says He’ll Play Volleyball at Stanford

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Jeremy Bart, an outside hitter at Huntington Beach High, has orally committed to play volleyball at Stanford, he said Thursday.

Bart, a 6-foot-3 senior, was a first-team All-Sunset League selection last season. He said he has been accepted to the school and will sign a letter of intent next week.

“It’s a partial scholarship,” said Bart, who has a 3.85 grade-point average. “But getting a diploma from Stanford, that was the No. 1 thing in my decision to go there. I loved it up there.”
