OUTLOOK
A piece of cake. The Monarchs have won 39 consecutive league games--20 as a member of the South Coast League--and there’s nothing out there this season that’s going to stop that run. Cotton, who transferred from Bellflower St. John Bosco during last season, is one of the top sophomores in the nation. He has the muscle to go inside and a light shooting touch from three-point range. Jackson, who has signed with Wyoming, dominated games at times last season. McKnight, who has signed with UC Irvine, is deadly from three-point range and ran the team during the playoffs a year ago. A key will be Augustine, who will step in at point guard. He saw valuable time as a freshman. The Monarchs have size, quickness, several good shooters and plenty of depth. They reached the Southern California Division I Regional final a year ago, but lost to Los Angeles Crenshaw.
