Dan Hamilton; Founding Member of ‘60s Rock Band

Dan Hamilton, 49, a founder of the rock group Hamilton, Joe Frank and Reynolds, whose 1971 hit, “Don’t Pull Your Love,” rose to No. 4 on the charts and brought them a gold record. Formed in the late 1960s, the group comprised two guitarists and a keyboard player and made dozens of other recordings over the years, among them “Fallin’ in Love” and “Winners and Losers,” both in 1975. The group recently had been making a comeback in Las Vegas, where it was a popular lounge attraction. In Los Angeles on Dec. 22 of complications of abdominal surgery.
