COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : In the Fullerton women’s basketball tournament:

College of the Canyons 68, Cypress 66--College of the Canyons’ Melissa Dunkerley made a pair of free throws with five seconds left to give her team the title. Sara Works, who was named to the all-tournament team, scored a game-high 21 points for Cypress (14-6).
Fullerton 62, Compton 40--Lacey Sollie had 19 points and 10 rebounds, Norah Mariner added 14 points and 16 rebounds and Christa McDonald had 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead Fullerton (10-9) to third place.
Golden West 91, American River 49--Julie Murdent scored 22 points, Deana Itow added 21 points and a career-high 14 assists and Nicole Quinn had 12 points and 13 rebounds to lead Golden West (15-5) to a fifth-place finish.
Damaris McGlothin led three American River (7-8) scorers in double figures with 11 points. Murdent, who scored 97 points in four games, was named to the all-tournament team.
