WESTLAKE : Business Start-Up Is Topic of Seminar

A seminar titled “Starting and Operating Your Own Business” will be held Feb. 14, one of two small-business workshops being sponsored this month by the Service Corps of Retired Executives.
Each month, retired businessmen and women from the corps, known by its acronym SCORE, offer entrepreneurial advice regarding all aspects of running a small business.
Seminars are held at the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce and at SCORE headquarters in Glendale. The first Glendale seminar, “Promoting and Protecting Your Invention,” will be held this Wednesday.
The Feb. 14 seminar will be at the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, 350 S. Bixel St., from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is a $15 fee payable at the door.
