A Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus driver apparently committed suicide by putting his bus in gear, jumping out the door and throwing himself under the vehicle’s wheels, the California Highway Patrol said Friday.
Donald C. White, 39, of Rialto was crushed to death Wednesday afternoon when the bus ran over him on a ramp near the MTA’s El Monte bus yard, CHP Sgt. Paul Medeiros said.
No passengers were on board. A co-worker said White had recently been experiencing emotional and marital problems.
