In conjunction with Earthquake Preparedness Month, the Orange County chapter of the American Red Cross will conduct free community training sessions Saturday in Mission Viejo.
The 20-minute classes will focus on first aid, assembling a disaster supplies kit for the home and what to do before, during and after an earthquake. To encourage participants to assemble earthquake preparedness kits, the Red Cross will distribute free items, including bottled water and sterile adhesive bandages.
The training sessions will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mission Viejo Mall center court, 2700 Crown Valley Parkway.
