Kiwi Ousts New Chairman: Byron Hogue resigned after losing an internal power struggle with Kiwi International Air Lines’ president and five directors, including its vice chairman, John Anderson. Anderson, a pilot who serves on the board of directors of the employee-owned airline, has been appointed to serve as acting chairman. Hogue tried unsuccessfully last week to fire President Danny Wright and remove Anderson and four other pilots from the board. The directors also tried to remove Hogue. Wright remains president and gets the additional title of chief executive, Anderson said. Hogue and Wright were hired by the Newark, N.J.-based carrier in February following the removal of Chairman Robert W. Iverson II.
