THOUSAND OAKS : GTE to Donate for Flood Relief

A telecommunications giant with offices in Ventura County announced Tuesday that it will give the American Red Cross $50,000 to help with flood relief in California.
The GTE Foundation said the cash contribution will be distributed in eight counties throughout the state, including Ventura, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara counties.
“Whether it’s floods, fires or earthquakes, we know that we can count on the Red Cross,” said Red Keith, GTE’s California region president.
GTE, the fourth-largest publicly owned telecommunications company in the world, provides service to more than 3 million Californians.
