American-Canadian Linkage Approved: Flight links between American Airlines and Canadian Airlines International got the go-ahead this week from the U.S. government. The units of AMR Corp. and Canadian Airlines Corp. can start selling each other’s flights using a process known as code sharing, the Transportation Department said. This will let them offer coordinated service similar to connecting flights on the same airline. Starting June 1, the airlines will be able to sell seats on certain of each other’s routes.
