BODY WATCH : The Health Hot Lines
Sneezing from allergies? Suffering from gout? Does someone close to you have Alzheimer’s disease? The good news is that for just about any physical health problem you can name--and even those you can’t--there are lots of organizations and federal agencies out there ready to provide assistance.
The best news: Most of it is free. Here is a sampling of resources, which will send you brochures, bibliographies, studies and other printed material.
For groups that don’t list phone numbers, write for information. To contact the local chapters of national organizations, consult your phone book.
