Three children were ejected from a van and injured in a three-car crash Thursday morning at Fairhaven and Grand avenues.
The children, ages 4, 5 and 6, are in stable condition at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana.
Their mother, Amparo Cisneros, 34, of Santa Ana, was driving west on Fairhaven at 11:27 a.m. when her van collided with two other vehicles.
Authorities said Thursday evening that they still were working to determine the cause of the accident.
“But someone apparently ran a red light,” said Sgt. Dick Faust.
The two other drivers were not injured.
The children suffered head, shoulder and leg injuries. Cisneros was treated at the hospital and released.
