LA PALMA : Council Urges All to Recite Pledge

The City Council is urging all residents to recite the Pledge of Allegiance on Wednesday, which is national Flag Day.
In a resolution unanimously adopted this week, the council said there is a nationwide movement to have “a pause for the Pledge of Allegiance” at the same time on Flag Day. This year the suggested time for the pause is at 7 p.m.
“Flag Day celebrates our nation’s symbol of unity, a democracy in a republic,” the council said in its resolution.
