An unidentified woman died Wednesday at Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills after apparently jumping more than 120 feet to her death from a cliff in Big Tujunga Canyon in Angeles National Forest, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said.
The woman was airlifted to the hospital after being found at the bottom of the cliff about 12:15 a.m., said spokesman Brian Humphrey.
She was in full cardiac arrest when she was taken from the scene, Humphrey said. Despite surviving the initial fall, the woman died later from severe leg, abdominal and internal wounds, he said.
