THOUSAND OAKS : Diabetic Children to Go to Daylong Camp
- Share via
About 20 Ventura County children with diabetes are scheduled to visit Thousand Oaks today for a daylong camp that will include sports, swimming, arts and crafts, and glucose checks.
The purpose is to allow the children to exercise and learn more about diabetes, said Gloria Camarillo of the Lanson Pediatric Foundation, a community group sponsoring the event.
“We’ve had a lot of parents calling in. I believe people are looking forward to it,” she said.
This will be the first year that the event is held at the Janss House in Thousand Oaks.
