VAN NUYS — A 31-year-old man was shot to death after an argument with a Van Nuys man over the victim’s ex-wife, Los Angeles police said Monday.
Tony Lyle confronted Stephen Boyd, 32, at Boyd’s Van Nuys home about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Detective Steve Fisk said. The two had an argument about Lyle’s former wife, with whom Lyle believed Boyd was having a relationship.
Lyle chased Boyd out of his home, and Boyd ran to a neighbor, from whom he borrowed a shotgun, Fisk said.
When Lyle saw the gun, he turned and ran, Fisk said. Boyd followed him into an alley in the 6300 block of Fulton Avenue and shot him several times in the upper body, Fisk said.
Boyd was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder, Fisk said.
