World IN BRIEF : HAITI : Aristide’s Cousin Slain by Gunmen

Gunmen killed a newly elected lawmaker who was a cousin of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide in what appeared to be a robbery. Jean-Hubert Feuille, a member of the Chamber of Deputies, was shot twice in the head after leaving a bank in Port-au-Prince. A fellow deputy, Gabriel Fortune, was shot in the shoulder. A witness reported that several gunmen in a car opened fire on the lawmakers’ vehicle and then took their money before fleeing.
