Studio City : Liquor Application, Transit on Agenda
- Share via
The monthly meeting of the Studio City Residents Assn. on Tuesday will focus on local public transit issues and a liquor permit application for a gas station at the corner of Ventura Boulevard and Whitsett Avenue.
Mark Patterson, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, is expected to address homeowner concerns that traffic and noise may be generated by the planned North Hollywood and Universal City Metro Rail stations, particularly if the rest of the east-west Metro Rail extension is delayed.
Also, the association wants to get residents’ opinions on the proposed liquor permit, which would allow a Thrifty gas station to sell beer and wine from a proposed mini-mart at its site.
The 8 p.m. meeting will be held at Carpenter Avenue Elementary School, 3909 Carpenter Ave.
