CalPERS Building

The “Boom Town” story (Nov. 7) on Sacramento public buildings/employees misses the point on the CalPERS building.
At least half of the $78 million did come from taxpayers since the employers’ (cities, counties, etc.) source of revenue is taxpayers. Further, most agencies contribute the employee share, so nearly the entire $78 million was paid by the taxpayers. Nothing is too good for our “public servants.”
