Man Kills Daughter, Wife, Self, Police Say

LAKE ARROWHEAD — A gunman committed suicide after allegedly killing his estranged wife and his 16-year-old daughter, authorities said Monday.
The bodies of James Howard Reeves, 42; Melinda Colleen Reeves, 38, and Vanessa Colleen Reeves, 16, were found Saturday in a Lake Arrowhead home, said Sgt. Pete Ortiz of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Three younger children were found unharmed inside the home.
Reeves, who lived in Moreno Valley, had made arrangements to pick up two of his children, and an argument began after he arrived, Ortiz said.
A .44-caliber handgun was found alongside Reeves’ body.
