Canyons 113, Oxnard 96--Kahyeed Murray scored 28 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as the Cougars (1-2) won a fast-paced, nonconference game at Oxnard.
Canyons got out of the gate quickly and took a 57-36 halftime lead. The Condors retaliated with a 60-point second half, but couldn’t catch up.
Bill Bedgood added 22 points and 16 rebounds for the Cougars.
Antelope Valley 88, Bakersfield 85--Sophomore guards Brandon McIntire, Jerome Payton and Marion Tisdel helped the Marauders (3-2) to a nonconference overtime victory at Antelope Valley.
McIntire scored 19 points, including six three-point baskets.
