Sylmar : Zoning Officials to Host Jan. 26 Hearings

A number of city permits and zoning variances will be considered at upcoming hearings on Jan. 26. The hearings will focus on issues including a proposed cellular telephone antenna in Sylmar, proposed office buildings in a North Hills neighborhood and a liquor permit for a Van Nuys restaurant.
All of the hearings will take place at the Sherman Oaks Woman’s Club, 4808 Kester Ave., in Sherman Oaks. City zoning officials will review requests for the following:
* Permission for a restaurant at 13627 Victory Blvd. in Van Nuys to serve alcoholic beverages in its patio section. The restaurant now has a conditional-use permit allowing it to serve alcohol in its enclosed portion. The hearing will be held at 10 a.m.
* A conditional-use permit to construct two church office buildings in a residential neighborhood in North Hills. The property is at 15220 Plummer St. The hearing will be held at 1 p.m.
* A conditional-use permit to build a 60-foot-high pole antenna for cellular telephones at 14071 Polk St. in Sylmar. The hearing will be held at 2 p.m.
