St. Bonaventure Comes Back for Seconds, 2-1

Dara Greaney scored on a pass from John Moshy in the 71st minute to lift St. Bonaventure High to a 2-1 Tri-Valley League boys’ soccer victory over Bishop Diego Thursday at Bishop Diego.
The victory was the Seraphs’ second of the season and Coach David Bierly said it marked the first time in nine years the team has won back-to-back matches.
Chris Ridout of St. Bonaventure (2-12-2, 2-6-1 in league play) opened the scoring with an unassisted goal in the fifth minute before Bishop Diego’s Rony Ruano tied the match in the 20th minute.
Grant 2, Monroe 0--Freddy Morales scored in the first half and Jose Tovar in the second as the Lancers (11-3-4, 5-2-3) defeated the Vikings (4-5-1, 4-5-1) in a Valley Pac-8 Conference match at Monroe.
Sylmar 2, Poly 1--Jesus Solioria scored in the final minute on a corner kick from Ranferi Benitez for the Spartans (10-1-2, 8-1-1) in a Valley Pac-8 match at Poly. Alex Miron scored in the 58th minute to give the Parrots an early lead before Carlos Cabrera scored for Sylmar.
North Hollywood 3, Van Nuys 1--Camilo Giron, Eleuterio Garcia and Sigi Herrera scored for the Huskies (5-3-1, 5-3-1) in a Valley Pac-8 Conference match at North Hollywood. Wilfredo Hernandez scored for the Wolves (5-4-4, 4-4-2).
Rio Mesa 5, Oxnard 0--Jaime Ambriz scored twice and Carlos Perez, Aldo Hernandez and Mario Espinoza also scored for the Spartans (11-5-2, 5-5) in a Channel League match at Rio Mesa.
Calabasas 4, Santa Clara 0--David Appel scored twice for the Coyotes (12-6, 5-1) in a Frontier League match at Calabasas, giving him 28 goals in 17 games.
Santa Paula 3, Moorpark 1--Oscar Crisosto scored twice and Hugo Llamas once as the Cardinals (16-2-0, 6-0) beat the Musketeers (8-5-5, 3-3) in a Frontier League match at Moorpark.
GIRLS
Buena 4, Dos Pueblos 0--Krista Janik scored twice as the Bulldogs (12-3-3, 9-0-1) earned a Channel League victory at Dos Pueblos.
Crescenta Valley 14, Pasadena 0--Hope Robertshaw had three goals and an assist for the Falcons (16-3-2, 4-1) in a Pacific League rout at Crescenta Valley.
Ventura 1, Santa Barbara 1--Ventura’s Sera Haycox tied the match in the 78th minute on a pass from Roxanne Pena at Ventura (12-4-4, 6-2-2).
