Acknowledging 1980 Olympians

In your Feb. 15 article “Carrying the Torch,” you listed “local heroes” selected to carry the Olympic torch across Orange County, and you listed former Orange County Olympians. However, you did not list 1980 Olympians who had qualified to represent this country in the Soviet Union but were denied the privilege because of a political, philosophical disagreement.
I think these young men and women deserve to be acknowledged for their skills and hard work just like those who got to participate and perform.
