A new intercity medical transportation service from Camarillo to Ventura and Oxnard will begin Tuesday, helping ferry elderly patients or others who have no means of transit to doctors’ offices and medical facilities outside the community.
The service, provided by the Camarillo Health Care District, will cost $20 per round trip. The health care district is negotiating with major medical facilities to subsidize the program to lower the cost to $5 per round trip.
For reservations, call 388-2529.
