LANCASTER — A 46-year-old Lancaster woman was killed early Monday after her pickup truck spun out of control and hit a telephone pole, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident occurred about 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue E and East 60th St., according to Officer Rick Chisham. He said the woman, identified as Mary Ann Jones, was driving at about 65 mph when her truck ran off the side of the road, spun out and slammed into the pole.
Chisham said Jones was on her way to work at Edwards Air Force Base.
