MODESTO — Steve Lemke and Juan Perez held the JetHawks to three hits, and Miguel Tejada and Jeff D’Amico each homered to lead Modesto to a 5-2 victory Saturday night before 1,979 at John Thurman Field.
Tejada’s two-run home run in the third inning, his ninth, wiped out a 2-0 deficit. Tejada scored the eventual winning run two innings later on a fielder’s choice. D’Amico’s home run, his fourth, gave the A’s a 4-2 lead in the sixth.
Lemke (2-2) held the JetHawks to two hits and struck out four in five innings. Perez allowed one hit and struck out three in four innings.
James Clifford doubled and scored on a ground ball to give the JetHawks a 1-0 lead in the second inning. In the third, a sacrifice fly by Shane Monahan scored Marcus Sturdivant, giving the JetHawks a 2-0 lead.
